There is no battle if we compare the operating system run on both devices as they run on the same Google’s Android 2.3.4. So let’s find the winner of software comparison with comparing their custom UIs.
HTC Sensation XL, just like the other HTC’s manufactured devices, has been blessed with the manufacturer’s Sense User Interface. As so many HTC fans know, the Sense UI is a custom overlay which has almost single-handedly raised Android’s profile since it was first released.
As for the features, the Sense UI offers some additions including icons, widgets, apps and social networking integration. There is also a support for better sound quality through ‘Beats’ audio. But, even though the new support for enhancing the sound quality has been added to the Sensation XL through ‘Beats’, it still cannot beat the iPod so far.
As for the comparison, Samsung Galaxy S2 has been blessed with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI version 4.0. Up to know, it still not compare to Sense, but Samsung will do more to develop their User Interface.
Samsung TouchWiz UI offers custom widgets, icons and eye-candy and other features such as KIES Air app that is very useful to access your device over Wi-Fi, without need for cables and hassles. The highlighted feature that is offered by the device is Samsung’s ‘hubs’. Through this feature the device users will enjoy integration with their social networking, exclusive games and books and newspapers.
Compared to the TouchWiz UI of Samsung, the HTC’s Sense UI seems more interesting and is resulted to the Sensation XL’s victory.

As we can see the result from five sections of comparison, the Samsung’s phone comes out as the winner. But, the device doesn’t seal the victory easily as the competitor keep fighting to the end of the battle. Samsung Galaxy S2 has successfully won this comparison over the Sensation XL of HTC through its powerful specification of display and camera. Super AMOLED Plus once again proves to be the Samsung’s deadly weapon to defeat the challengers.
In the meantime, HTC Sensation XL has to admit that the competitor offers more than it does. Actually, the HTC’s phone is very close to the title with offering the future users a great UI and well balanced build, but it is failed to take over the tittle from the champ.
Once again, the final result goes to Samsung Galaxy S2. But it is nothing to the HTC fans as they might still think that the HTC Sensation XL is the winner of the comparison.
