Foursquare will finally received it’s update, this news was taken from a blog post today as Denis Crowley, the foursquare founder has announced that the update will be available for user tonight. This is a good thing, remembering that foursquare has not launch much update. Crowley conveys that over the past years he and his team have not been able to develop the application further.
But now as the update is on the way, foursquare offer its quality and loyalty by adding new features to version 3.0 which is Android and iPhone version. One of them is the “Explore” tab that can be used to search or to get recommendation from 4sq based on the environment and places that user’s friend visited.
With this application update the foursquare company wants to encourage user to explore their surroundings through foursquare’s improved leader board. The leader board has been replaced including its simple points system and Sunday night reset with a 7-ways sliding of users and friends. The Check-ins now also opens more options of different actions.
Foursquare also added another way to reward user by offering merchant way “swarms, groups of friends, regulars, newbies, or everyone.” In the end of the writing Crowley said “we’ve got really ambitious plans for the rest of the year and we’re excited to let you play with three big new pieces of the master plan.” On the other hand the BlackBerry version will come later on though as Crowley said that it would not as complete as the iPhone and Android version.
