Nowadays, Samsung has produced few high-end devices, running on Symbian, Windows Mobile, Android and Bada. The latest news is the Samsung Galaxy S; this Samsung flagship device comes with a powerful processor and fine crisp screen.
It looks like an iPhone 4 competitor, but will the Galaxy S kick iPhone 4 out of the orbit? We are going to see it as you read on.
Screen:
The Galaxy S attached 4” super AMOLED color screen with 480 x 800 pixel. It might be the best device screen yet.
On the other hand, the iPhone 4 also has dazzling screen covering 3.5” glass Retina display and 640 x960 pixel.
However, our vote goes to the Galaxy S, with larger and more crispier screen it surely wins our heart.
Verdict: Samsung Galaxy S
Camera:
5 megapixel camera and also secondary camera are attached in both device, but the Samsung Galaxy S are not supported by flash and anti-shake filter like the iPhone, makes the Galaxy S unable to maximize its photo taking and video recording in low light condition as both are able to record HD video.
Many more advance feature like 720p and 30 fps recording makes our verdict goes to the iPhone 4.
Verdict: iPhone 4
Processor:
Samsung put in a 1GHz ARM A8 Cortex processor in their Galaxy S and the same with iPhone 4, Apple put in a 1GHz A4 processor, both processors are made by Samsung.
Though we know that the A4 is powerful, but we are quite convinced that Samsung has stronger processor to win the fight.
Verdict: Samsung Galaxy S
Operating System:
Samsung Galaxy S running on Android 2.1 covered with its famous TouchWiz user interface. A nice progress from the 1.6 version with added Outlook support, Flash Lite v3.1
Android has supported multi tasking ability since the first version, though the iPhone 4 is the first iPhone that brings about multitasking feature but they are already good.
But, I guess the Android is still unable to beat the Apple apps support yet, but now they are fastly catching up.
Verdict: iPhone 4
Overall Verdict
Still the iPhone 4 wins the fight, with tight one. But, if you’re not willing to spend an expensive 500£-600£ over a pretty phone, then might be the Samsung Galaxy S is a nice effective choice with the advantage of open source Android platform, powerful processor and a large dazzling screen.
