To those who always concern, here is the good news for you guys. Both Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus and HTC Sensation XE are equipped with large screens.

For this section, the HTC side trusts a 4.3-inch S-LCD capacitive touchscreen at a resolution of 540×960 pixels to be the Sensation XE’s screen. The pixel density of the device’s screen is quite high, measured at 256 pixels-per-inch (ppi). Regarding to the battery usage, Sony’s S-LCD technology is similar to Samsung’s Super Amoled, it has been blessed with an ability to save more energy and also to be a brighter display with richer colors.

The HTC Sensation XE’s display is supported by few features such as multi-touch, an accelerometer and gyro sensor to enable screen rotation.

Meanwhile, the opposite side comes to the surface with bigger screen than Sensation XE’s. It is a 4.6-inches display with resolution of 720×1280 pixels and then the resolution leads to the pixel density that is boasted to 316ppi.

Just like the competitor’s screen, the Super Amoled HD screen tech offers a more energy efficient and brighter display with richer colors. The curved glass that is attached on the capacitive screen of Galaxy Nexus has been covered with oleophobic to avoid fingerprints. Just like featured on competitor’s screen, the Super Amoled display of Galaxy Nexus also supports multi-touch input, accelerometer and gyro sensors.

Actually, this round is pretty tight as the two combatants offer beautiful display. But, due to the Google Nexus offers larger size display with high resolution and amazing pixel density, there is no doubt for this time that Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus comes out as the winner for the second time.

3. Storage comparison

To the device users who frequently keep a lot of files in their device, it is important to them to opt a device that supports more spaces through either the device’s internal storage or the external storage.

There will be two variants of Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus available on market; they are the 16GB version and the 32GB version. Both variants will also be supported with 1GB of RAM to maintain the performance.

Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus does not support for memory card, so the users will be stuck to the variant they have chosen.

On the contrary, HTC Sensation XE has been supported with what the competitor has missed. It has a card slot that can be used for external storage through microSD card support for up to 32 GB. As for the device’s in-built storage, it has 4GB of onboard storage but only a mere 1GB of this is user accessible. Apart from that, it also has been supported with RAM to help keep things running smoothly. But, compare to the Samsung made phone’s RAM, the Sensation XE only offers a smaller of RAM at 768MB.

For the storage comparison, both Sensation XE and Galaxy Nexus actually offer more or less the same amount of space, but to be honest, an onboard storage is much more stable and a bit faster too than the external storage.

So, for once more, the HTC Sensation XE has to admit that Galaxy Nexus offers more than it does.

If we talked about the device performance when running task, we need to take our time for doing a research through the device’s specification as both the performance and specification are related tightly.

In the meantime, Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus has been supported with quite powerful specifications such as ARM Cortex-A9 1.2GHz dual core processor but the chipset and GPU aren’t quite as cutting edge with the TI OMAP 4460 chipset and a PowerVR SGX540 GPU.

Actually, as a premium handset, Samsung’s made phone has offered quite good specifications. However, it is unfortunately being compared with the Sensation XE that offers better specifications of processor. So, this round has been won by HTC Sensation XE.

When the HTC phone runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, the Galaxy Nexus is going to be released as well as introduce the new version of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

As so many Android fans have known, Android 2.3 Gingerbread can get along with dual core device just like it does with the Sensation XE. However, as an update normally offer to the device users, the Ice Cream Sandwich seems to offer more features than its predecessor. So, the Gingerbread can be said as the stepping stone to its successor.

The biggest lacking we can spot on the Gingerbread is despite offering better native web browser than the previous version, in term of terms of smooth scrolling and pinch zoom, was still a little on the slow side and also lacked any kind of tabbed browsing. Lucky to the Android fans as the developer has improved everything that lack on the previous version of Android with bringing the Android 4.0 to the surface.

However, though there is a gap between the Gingerbread and Ice Cream Sandwich, both of them still offer an efficient and fluid multi-tasking. Apart from that, thanks to some handy app-switching interface controls that makes the Ice Cream Sandwich becomes more user friendly.

So, due to there are some improvements have made by the developers in form of Ice Cream Sandwich, this round goes to Samsung.
