We all know that the HTC Incredible S is one of the best Smartphone in the world with its sophisticated technology and marvelous performance. However the Smartphone gained just a little appreciation among enthusiasts due to the ridiculous decision of HTC to add the S-ON security feature that makes it impossible to flash a custom ROM or radio to the Smartphone.
While we all are ridiculing the HTC for adding that security feature, on come the report that there also several numbers of HTC Incredible S that were shipped without that security nonsense. Currently there is no one knows whether the S-OFF HTC Incredible S was shipped by mistake or intentional, maybe we’ll never know, but who care! The most important thing is thanks to these S-OFF devices we can develop some custom ROM for incredible Smartphone.
The name of the custom ROM that will be used in the installation is AngerBread. It’s a rooted Android ROM for the HTC Incredible S that is as close to the stock ROM as possible. The only modifications made from stock in case of this ROM are root access, busybox, zipalign and deodexing. The used of AngerBread is ideal for you who want all the stock HTC features including HTC Sense 2.1 and its widgets, but still want to be able to theme the ROM and use apps requiring root access. In addition the ROM also does not include any Bloatware. The ROM has been tested and it work nicely and smooth however we want to remind you that shall follow the guide at your own risk as this site will not be liable to any damage of your phones.

Requirements:
- Makes sure the HTC Incredible S used in this installation Rooted & S-OFF.
- ClockworkMod recovery already installed.
- AngerBread v0.2 ROM
Instructions:
Simply Download the AngerBread ROM and copy it to the root of your SD card. Makes sure you have copied it in the root and not in any folder otherwise it won’t work. Then Flash the ROM to your phone from recovery after taking a nandroid backup and wiping data, cache and Dalvik cache. Reboot your device and it’s done!
If you done the steps correctly you will have your S-OFF HTC Incredible S running rooted and deodexed Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread. Congratulation!
