Sony Ericsson had announced Sony Ericsson W8 previously. This device is the first Android phone which is included to Sony Ericsson’s walkman phone. Now, there is news suggesting Sony Ericsson has another walkman phone, at least this is what the popped up on W8’s official announcement shown to us. For the moment, let’s we call the rumored phone as WT18i.
WT18i will be appeared as an affordable device that especially designed for the youth. The device will pack Marvell PXA 920 processor, clocked at 806 MHz and the HVGA screen measures 3.2″. For the storage, the latest rumored Sony Ericsson’s walkman phone will provide150MB of internal memory and a microSD card slot (up to 32GB cards will be supported.
Sony Ericsson WT18i will also be packing a 3 MP camera with 480p video recording plus a front-facing camera for video-calls. All of WT18i’s specifications are going to be packed in one package with only 110gr only. An operating system which is based on Google’s Android 2.2 Froyo, OMS 2.5 seems to be planted on the walkman phone. The chosen operating system and the TD-SDCDMA network support suggest that WT18i seems to be released on Chinese market. However, it will probably be released to world market with the same specs too.
So far, there is no official word from Sony Ericsson’s side about the release date and or the price.
