There was a guide to gain S-Off on the HTC Sensation 4G using Revolutionary previously revealed. The tool itself is supposed to bring the ClockworkMod recovery along with the S-Off, but there were reports that claimed the recovery did not get installed after the Revolutionary has successfully been installed on the device. For those who are experiencing such of issue, there is a manual method that can be used to bring recovery for HTC device. One from the various methods is installing the ClockworkMod recovery 4 image in a zip flashable file on the HTC Sensation 4G. By installing the ClockworkMod recovery you will be able to flash unsigned files based on .zip packages and flash custom ROMs very easily. Apart from that, it also gives you an option to backup your entire ROM as it is, as a complete image so you will have a chance to revert back to the previous setting in case there was something wrong after the installation has been successfully finished or your phone is messed up by the new ROM. For your information, the further options that are brought to the phone may vary depending on each recovery tool.

There are a couple of requirements that you need to be fulfilled before starting the installation:
• An HTC Sensation 4G with S-Off.
• ClockworkMod 4.0.1.4.

• The first step is downloading the recovery from the link above and copies it to the root of your SD card.
• Once the file has been downloaded completely, restart your device into bootloader mode.
• After that in bootloader the phone will automatically detect the new file and would ask you if you wish to start the update. Press the Volume up key to accept.
• Once the file is flashed, simply reboot your phone for once again.
• For the last step, remove the file from the SD card or rename it something else, otherwise every time you try to go into bootloader the phone will ask you to install that file.
