The new launched BlackBerry Torch 9800 price falls while the Nokia N8 price rises. The Torch overcomes a bad release week with a shocking 50% price fall. In other side the Nokia N8 sold pre-order for more than the price Nokia confirmed, that is US $475

The Torch is BlackBerry’s first slide phone and third touchscreen phone that the RIM produce. This phone price was US $199 the first day it launches, now a week later the price falls down to US $99. It is a great cheap deal though with the contract sign.

Even though it is cheaper than iPhone 4, BlackBerry Torch 9800 is still a good phone. The BlackBerry Torch costs $183.05 to manufacture while iPhone is cost around $187.51 to manufacture. That cost was excluding the research cost and the marketing cost. It is purely the cost of every component that has planted to the phone.

If we talked about the component, Torch’s most expensive component was the thouchscreen. Same thing has occurred to the iPhone 4, its most expensive part is the Retina Display. Blackberry Torch 9800 runs the latest BlackBerry operating system, OS 6 and was supposed to be RIM’s first device to compete Apple’s superphone, iPhone 4.
