You probably know that yesterday the Apple or the AT&T server was down all day long when you try to pre-order the new iPhone 4. Actually the server only works for just about an hour; I know I got mine, so if you try to pre-order after that you probably got no chance.

Apple announced that more than 600.000 unit is pre-ordered yesterday, in spite of the server pre-order breakdown. Seemingly, Aware on this malfunction, Apple published their statement apologizing:
Yesterday Apple and its carrier partners took pre-orders for more than 600,000 of Apple’s new iPhone 4. It was the largest number of pre-orders Apple has ever taken in a single day and was far higher than we anticipated, resulting in many order and approval system malfunctions. Many customers were turned away or abandoned the process in frustration. We apologize to everyone who encountered difficulties, and hope that they will try again or visit an Apple or carrier store once the iPhone 4 is in stock.
Did you get yours? If not, will you get it on the official launching?
